Since 2023, holders of the Bolashak Presidential scholarship can receive a work deferral for up to 1 year to complete an internship abroad. Bolashakovites can get an internship in organizations included in the world rankings "Fortune Global 500", "Forbes Global 2000", "Forbes Top 100 Digital Companies", in international organizations of the United Nations. Also, a work deferral is granted to doctoral students for postdoctoral studies in their specialty.

"Thanks to the changes, Bolashak fellows can work in the best international companies in the world immediately after completing their academic studies at a foreign university. This will allow them to gain practical experience in the most advanced organizations, as well as establish a network of professional contacts at the international level," said Lazzat Adilova, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the EOM.

The fellows of the international scholarship must independently find a job in an organization that is included in the rating of the world's largest companies.

According to the terms of the program, after graduation, graduates must undergo labor training in their specialty on the territory of Kazakhstan. The term of working out in cities of republican significance is 5 years. For graduates who go to work in the regions, the period of working time has been reduced to 3 years. This measure is designed to increase the share of Bolashak residents who will go to the regions and work in rural areas.

Recall that in 2023, under the International Bolashak Program, 395 scholarships were allocated for master's and residency studies, 50 scholarships for doctoral programs, and 110 scholarships for internships.
