The department was founded in 2006 and will train personnel in educational programs in the field of metallurgy. To meet the need for engineering personnel of the fuel and energy and metallurgical region of the Pavlodar region. Qualified teachers from Almaty, Karaganda, Temirtau, Kokshetau and Pavlodar were invited to the department for high-quality training of graduates. At the same time, the material and technical equipment of the department in basic and specialized disciplines was strengthened.
Today, the department graduates bachelors in the following educational programs:

Training of a specialist of a new formation, possessing broad fundamental knowledge, initiative, having the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the labor market, technologies, nanotechnologies in the field of metallurgy, able to work in a team.
