Research work at the Department of Automation and Information Systems is carried out in accordance with the plan of scientific research of the EITI.

      Research work is associated with scientific research, conducting research, experiments in order to expand existing and obtain new knowledge, testing scientific hypotheses, establishing patterns that manifest themselves in nature and in society, scientific generalizations, scientific justification of projects.

      Research work of students

       The research work of students is an integral part of the training of qualified specialists. The research work of students at the department is carried out by students in the form of abstract, research, laboratory work, term papers, theses (projects) containing elements of research, as well as when performing specific tasks of a research nature aimed at solving the problem of production, during the period of industrial practice. The results of students' research work are published in scientific journals and conference proceedings.

       Among the scientific results of the students ' work , the department highlights the following:

•  In 2022, Rakhmatullayev Islam received a first degree diploma in the project "IV International Book Edition", "The best student" among scientific and educational institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States, organized by the Association of Legal Entities in the form of the association "National Movement "Bobek".
•  In 2021, Idrisov Marat won the competition of student works in the field of energy industry among students of higher and educational institutions of Pavlodar and Ekibastuz, held by Pavlodarenergo LLP, the student was awarded a nominal scholarship.
•  In 2020, Shakenov Tleumet took 1st place in the competition of Pavlodarenergo LLP with a project on the topic "Автоматизация башенной градирни для поддержания оптимальной температуры циркуляционной воды" with the award of a nominal corporate scholarship.
•  In 2020, Rakhmatullayev Islam took first place in the international Internet Olympiad "Sunlight" in computer science "Modern types of information".
•  In 2019, Tattenova Aigerim took 1st place in the competition of Pavlodarenergo LLP with a project on the topic "Внедрение системы контроля тепловых перемещений паропроводов с выводом данных в АСУ ТП".
•  Beketov Bekzat in 2018 took 1st place in the National Championship "Mobile Robotics", held by Worldskills Kazakhstan. 
•  In 2019, the "Philosophical Stone" team presented its project on the topic: "Digital solutions for improving access control for vehicles to gas-hazardous areas of the field" in the final of the competition among 7 teams from 150 teams of leading technical universities of the country.
