The teaching staff of the department has developed the necessary educational and methodological complexes for the disciplines to be read. Teachers of the department during the academic year worked on updating methodological guidelines for practical classes and laboratory work.

One of the important components in the training of specialists is the availability of a sufficient amount of educational and methodological literature. The staff of the department is working towards the acquisition of the necessary textbooks and manuals published recently in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation and the development of textbooks and methodological guidelines for laboratory work and course projects on their own.

The professional activity of the graduate is aimed at:

- for the modernization, design and operation of electrical facilities (power stations and substations, automation of electric power systems, power supply of enterprises of various industries), etc.;

-design of energy, energy technology systems, electrical and thermal power plants for various purposes, reconstruction, modernization, testing of thermal technology equipment;

- organization of efficient use of energy resources, introduction of energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies;

-selection of methods, instruments for measuring the main characteristics of electrical and heat technology equipment;

Bachelors can hold the positions of a technician of the first category, junior researchers, laboratory engineers, engineers of research institutions, design, design institutions, dispatcher, foreman, technician, RIA adjuster, electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, a machinist of a thermal power plant and other positions.
