History of the institute

Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute named after Academician K.Satpayev, established in 1994 on the initiative of the city administration and heads of industrial enterprises of Ekibastuz due to the urgent need for engineering personnel of enterprises of the Ekibastuz fuel and energy complex of the country with a population of more than 200 thousand people in the region.

Since 1996, Academician K.Satpayev EITI has been a member of the Association of Educational Institutions, since 1999 a member of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Educational institution "Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute named after Academician K. Satpayeva" is a subject of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2015 (hereinafter – The Labor Code), the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education", dated November 18, 2015 "On Combating Corruption", other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating educational activities, as well as the Charter https://drive.google.com/file/d/19ibTSZV9ebeK8PH4haD3535R3aeHD7Db/view?usp=sharing and a state license to engage in educational activities https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gwnGjkVkHgKmMz4tDP1L53e9MYMdcxWY/view?usp=sharing

EITI named after Academician K. Satpayeva is the only university in the Ekibastuz region, which over 26 years of existence has trained more than 9,000 qualified specialists for the fuel and energy complex of the region and the country.

In 2018, the Institute took the first place in the ranking of universities for employment conducted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan https://iac.enbek.kz/ru/node/595 .

In 2019, according to the "Independent evaluation of educational programs of Kazakhstani universities", the results of which are posted on the E-Government portal https://m.egov.kz/cms/ru/articles/ind-edu?mobile=yes EITI took the first place among the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of employment - 86%.

The Institute has introduced and is constantly improving the credit technology of training in all specialties and educational programs in all forms of education, ensuring the development of students' independence and individualization of their training. The training is conducted in the state and Russian languages.

In February 2020, the Institute was successfully tested for compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education.

In 2020, the Institute ranked 11th among the best technical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the National Rating conducted by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education. Many universities could not even get into this rating.

Also in 2020, the EITI named after ak.K.Satpayev successfully passed institutional accreditation and accreditation for 11 educational programs.

In 2020, the Institute received a certificate of accreditation as a subject of scientific and scientific-technical activity.

EITI named after ak. K.Satpayev is one of the first universities in Kazakhstan, all Educational programs of which have been examined, approved and entered into the Register of Educational Institutions. In 2021, the Educational Programs of the K.Satpayev EITI entered the TOP 10 in the RK rating conducted by NCE "Atameken":

Metallurgy (liquid metallurgy. Metallurgy of ferrous, non–ferrous and rare metals) - 1st place, Mining - open mining of mineral deposits; Transport, transport equipment and technologies (locomotives) - 2nd place, Thermal power engineering – 3rd place, Construction; Organization of transportation by rail – 5th place, Technological machinery and equipment (Mining machinery and equipment); Electric power industry (Power supply of industrial enterprises and cities; Automation and control (Automation and control of technological processes – 7th place.
