Scientific andresearch work of the Department of Economics and Management named after Z. A.Galimova" is carried out on the basis of the requirements of the following regulatory documents:
- The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education";
- The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Science";
- State Program for the Development of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019;
- State Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan 5.01.024-2008 "Research work";
- State mandatory standard of higher education;
- State mandatory standard of postgraduate education;
- Rules of accreditation of subjects of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities;
- regulations on the contest "Best University teacher";
- regulations "On the Republican research and Development competition".
Mechanism, organization and structure of research work of the Department "E and M": Scientific work includes the main levels of scientific activity: research activities of the faculty and staff, research work of students.
General direction of scientific research of the Department of "E and M" of EITI: "Economic Sciences"
Research work of teaching staff in these areas has an initiative-search character. The main final results are the defense of dissertations, writing monographs, textbooks, articles, making presentations at scientific and practical conferences, updating educational and lecture material. The results of research are reflected in the reports on the research work of teachers for the year. The state and prospects of R & D development are regularly discussed at meetings of the department, scientific and methodological seminars, teaching staff of the department. In addition, at the meetings of the scientific and theoretical seminar, questions are raised about the state of research work of the faculty of the department, reports and plans of research work of teachers are considered and approved.
One of the main areas of research at the department is the work of leading teachers on doctoral dissertations.
Research work is evaluated according to the following criteria::
- the amount финансируемыхof research funded;
- amount of research grants;
- number of patents received;
- the number of published scientific articles and printed sheets, including in journals with a non-zero impactfactor.
- citation of scientific articles and monographs of teaching staff;
- cooperation with international organizations and organizations of the CIS countries and the Republic of Kazakhstan; the number of doctoral and master's students who defended their dissertations within the time limit set by individual plans;
- research reports;
- the number of students involved in research, the effectiveness of research and development.
Availability of research results for teaching staff of the Department: The results of all research performed at EITI are provided in annual reports at the end of the reporting period (calendar year) in accordance with the annual research plan.
In the plan of the Department of "Economics and Management" for research and Development, the presented areas correspond to the implemented specialties and the specifics of its main activity.
The Department carries out scientific activities in the field of fundamental and applied scientific research on a contractual basis.
All materials of publications and printed publications are freely available to students and other members of the EITI faculty.
On April 11, 2013, teachers of the Department of Economics and Management successfully passed accreditation as a subject of scientific and scientific and technical activities in the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and received appropriate accreditation certificates, which gave them the opportunity to participate in state-funded research project competitions.
Publications in scientific publications
The department traditionally conducts research works on topical issues of the economic direction. The faculty of the department published about 20 scientific papers in the 2014-2016 academic year.
The teaching staff of the department has published three teaching aids on the subjects read as part of the educational program.
ORGANIZATION OF RESEARCH WORK OF STUDENTS
The main goal of students ' research work is to improve the quality of training and education of specialists with higher education who are able to creatively apply the achievements of scientific, technical and cultural progress in practical activities and develop the abilities of each of them to independent educational and cognitive activities.
The main task of students ' research work is the differentiated involvement of students in various forms of creative activity, taking into account the level of their training.
Student's research work (R & D) is a student's activity carried out both within the framework of the curriculum and under special programs, aimed at:
- formation of motivation for research work;
- assistance in mastering the student's scientific method of cognition, in-depth and creative development of educational material;
- fostering a creative attitude to your future profession through research activities;
- teaching the student methods and means of independent solution of scientific and technical problems and scientific and theoretical problems.
Types of research projects:
- educational and research work included in the educational process and research projects,
- research work performed during extracurricular hours.
The main form of research and development included in the educational process is conducting scientific research in the course and thesis work. Students ' research work performed during extracurricular hours is organized in the form of::
- participation of students in groups or on an individual basis in the implementation of state budget or household contract topics, in works on creative cooperation and individual teacher plans performed at departments;
- work in student scientific circles, student design bureaus, and research laboratories;
- participation in exhibitions, conferences, and symposia.
Two research circles are working at the department:

- Macroeconomics". Head Candidate of Economic Sciences prof. Rakhisheva A. B. (effective from September 2013).
Based on the results of research and development and within the framework of the activity of circles, students of groups took part in an International scientific and Practical Conference. Students of the department published: at the student conference in EITI 5 student papers (2014) , at the annual competition of student research papers student's workTolubaeva O. took 2nd place, female studentsDainova U. 3rd place, female studentsAubakirovoy Sh. 3rd place.
Based on the results of research projects and within the framework of the activity of circles in 2014, a student of the BE-41 groupMalgazdarova Sh. defended her thesis on the topic "Composition and content of financial statements and its application in the analysis and evaluation of the company's performance".

The Institute provides the necessary balance between the scientific and practical activities of teaching staff. A significant amount of practical application of economic knowledge was carried out by the faculty of the department when performing the following research: "Development and implementation of a program for monitoring the production and economic activities of an enterprise", "Development and implementation of an enterprise personnel development program", "Development and adaptation of the company's accounting policy to the requirements of IFRS"
Research activities of the department comply with the Standard Rules of higher and postgraduate education organizations and are carried out in accordance with the comprehensive program and plan of the Institute of Research and Development, with the preparation of scientific articles, reports, textbooks, monographs based on the results of research.
Main direction of research work:
Problems and prospects of development of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the crisis and post-crisis periods, namely:
- "Development of human capital of city-forming enterprises as a condition for improving the quality and standard of living of the population of the region "(on the example of the Ekibastuz region)"
- "Rehabilitation of production activities"
- "Investment activity of accumulative pension funds and its impact on macroeconomics"

During2011-2016,the following contractual topics were developed: "Development and implementation of a program for monitoring the production and economic activities of an enterprise". Development with issuance of a regulatory and economic document for LLP "Komet-EK" (Ekibastuz) in the amount of 1 million tenge. "Development and implementation of the enterprise personnel development program" forTOO "KazInterSvet" (Moscow Ekibastuz) in the amount of 1 million tenge. "Development and adaptation of the company's accounting policy to the requirements of IFRS" (Ekibastuz) in the amount of 1333200. " Development of practical recommendations and implementation of tax accounting policy at the enterprise "for LLP"Komet-EK" (Ekibastuz) in the amount of 1 million tenge. "Development and implementation of a methodology for diagnosing the financial condition of an enterprise" forTOO "KazInterSvet" (Ekibastuz) in the amount of 1.2 million tenge. "Development of a business plan and introduction of the company's products to the market" for LLP "NETiCOM-service" in the amount of 1.1 million tenge. The total amount of funding for 5 years amounted to 6.7 million tenge. For 1 member of the department, 0.67 milliontonsof yenge.
According to the results of research conducted over five years, the faculty ofthe EiMDepartment has prepared and published more than 80 papers in scientific journals, information sheets of the Central Scientific Research Institute, and conference proceedings. 6 textbooks and monographs with the ISBN index, 10 electronic textbooks have been prepared and published.
As part of academic mobility in the specialty "Economics", every year from 2012 to the present, students study at universities in the Russian Federation and abroad (Moscow, Cyprus). During this period, more than 50 students have mastered credits of economic disciplines outside the institute and successfully completed the training program.
